Toddler

Toddlers are taught in a warm and nurturing environment at a ratio of one teacher for every five children, with a maximum of 15 children.

Our childcare teachers work with your child to explore and manipulate toys, books and sensory materials, which helps them to develop their curiosity, creativity, and independence. Music and outdoor play are integral parts of the program.

Your Child's Transition to SCC

For families who have completed their registration package, we offer integration visits to allow children and a family member an opportunity to meet the staff and observe the program while offering the child an opportunity to join in outdoor play with his/her new friends. During Covid, these visits are restricted to outdoor time if the parent remains on the premises outside the fenced area.  Outside of Covid time, traditionally the visits take place inside the program room.

The week before the child begins attending on a regular basis, we offer customized half days to allow the child a more relaxed entrance to the program. The rate is adjusted for these visits to reflect a half-day rate.
